1. How can I find out about Calgary Distinguished Writers Program news and events?

There are several ways to get up-to-date CDWP news and events information: visit our website at www.calgarywritersprogram.com; contact Terry Rahbek-Nielsen at 403.220.8177 or cdwp@ucalgary.ca to get on the mail list or email list.

2. Are all CDWP events free ?

In the generous spirit the Program promotes, all CDWP events are free and open to the public.

3. How do I make a manuscript consultation with the Canadian Writer-in-Residence?

The Calgary Distinguished Writers Program offers Alberta writers a unique opportunity to meet with experienced Canadian and international writers on an individual basis to discuss their writing. These consultations are free and open to all writers in the Alberta writing community. To book a manuscript consultation with Jeramy Dodds, the 2011 -2012 Canadian Writer-in-Residence, contact Terry Rahbek-Nielsen at 403.220.8177 or cdwp@ucalgary.ca . Manuscript requirements for consultations are a maximum of 10 pages, single-sided and double-spaced (except for poetry) in 12 pt script, saved in PDF or Microsoft Word format and sent no less than 2 working days before the consultation to cdwp@ucalgary.ca

4. How do I apply for the Canadian Writer-in-Residence position?

The Calgary Distinguished Writers Program is currently accepting applications from emerging Canadian writers for a ten-month residency at the University of Calgary from August 15, 2013 to June 15, 2014. more
