Cervantes Centenaries: Reflections on the politics of literary events

The Calgary Society for Mediterranean Studies and sponsored by the Department of Greek and Roman Studies at the University of Calgary. The Society encourages interest in the pre-modern Mediterranean world within the Calgary community, principally with a series of monthly campus lectures and (through the University’s Continuing Education) with tours to areas of historical, archaeological, and cultural interest in the Mediterranean.

Annual membership fees are normally $25 for individuals, $40 for families, and $15 for students.There is no fee for the winter/spring of 2012, though donations towards our expenses are always welcomed.

The CSMS meeting begins at 6 p.m. in SS553, with the lecture following at 6:30 p.m. in SS541.
