The Israel Studies Program will be hosting a series of talks in 2012 on campus as well as in partnership with the Calgary Jewish Community Centre. Schedule is as follows:
January 2012: Dr. Gideon Greif - "Auschwitz, a Death Factory: The untold story of the Jewish 'Sonderkommando'. Friday, January 20, 2011 at 12:30pm, Social Sciences 623, University of Calgary.

Hebrew Courses of Interest
The Department of Religious Studies is offering Classical Hebrew courses in Fall 2011 and Winter 2012. These courses introduce students to the classical (biblical) Hebrew and no prior knowledge of the language is necessary or assumed. We begin by learning the alphabet and script, and then progress through the rudiments of Hebrew grammar with emphasis placed on practical skills for learning to read the Hebrew bible.
