Bring your family for a UCalgary Alumni exclusive guided tour of the historic First Nations site where Treaty No. 7 was signed in 1877 — Blackfoot Crossing, a National Historic Site of Canada.

Your morning will start in the Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park, which houses artifacts unearthed from the Siksika (Blackfoot) Nation. UCalgary associate professor and alumnus Dale Walde, PhD’95, and graduate students will then guide you through the university’s dig site and share the recent excavations of the Cluny Fortified Village, the only known village of its kind on the Canadian Plains.
