Work opportunities abroad

International co-op work terms are possible and may be back-to-back for 4, 8 or 12 months. Students are encouraged to allow 6-9 months to research and develop these types of opportunities and discuss with their co-op coordinator.

The University of Calgary International office on campus provides links and support for international work and study abroad. Some of these opportunities may be considered as co-op work terms. More >

Alberta Smithsonian Internship Program (ASIP)
This program enables students enrolled in a degree program at any post-secondary institution in Alberta to study and work alongside recognized scholars, scientists, and educators in a variety of disciplines, either at the Institution itself or at one of its affiliated sites elsewhere in the world. More >

The Washington Center
The world-renowned Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars in Washington, D.C. offers Alberta Post-secondary undergraduate and graduate students an important edge in the competition for future professional employment and admission to graduate and professional schools, while earning credit towards their degree. Substantial funding for these internships is available to Alberta residents. More >
