You work hard for your academic success, and the Faculty of Arts recognizes this. Congratulations to students who make the annual Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement.

The Dean's List recognizes the outstanding achievement of students in the Faculty of Arts. It is compiled annually at the end of the Winter session.  To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.60 or higher in all courses taken over the preceding Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer sessions. A statement of inclusion on the Dean's List will be recorded on the student's transcript. Any one of the following combinations of courses may be considered for inclusion in the GPA calculation:

  • a minimum of 4.0 full-course equivalents taken at the University of Calgary;
  • a minimum of 4.0 full-course equivalents taken at the University of Calgary, plus successful completion of one, four month Co-op work placement;
  • a minimum of 2.0 full-course equivalents taken at the University of Calgary, plus successful completion of two, four month Co-op work placements;
  • a minimum of 2.0 full-course equivalents taken at the University of Calgary, plus successful completion of one or more approved full-time terms abroad;
  • a program of study assessed by Student Accessibility Services to be equivalent to any of the above for a particular student.

If you are a student who wishes to be considered for the Dean's List and you have completed an approved term abroad or have had an assessment completed by Student Accessibility Services, you must arrange to have all necessary documentation forwarded to the Associate Dean of Students no later than May 15.

Congratulations to our students currently on the Dean's List!
