Composed of a select group of male and female singers, the Chamber Choir is dedicated to the study and performance of a broad range repertoire composed for mixed voices (SATB). The choir is active throughout Alberta and in 1988 and 1996 were finalists in CBC Choral Competition. Past tours have included the Eastern USA in 1990, Western Canada in 1994, and Europe in 1996.

Voice Lab is a newer ensemble created to explore and flex the boundaries of concert performance through staged musical and interdisciplinary collaborations with a foundation in "classical" vocal music. From art songs to opera, choral works to cabaret, musical theatre to musical improvisation and new music, they are generating energy around the evolution of classical performances.

Tonight's performance will present music celebrating winter in the northern latitudes, including Scandinavian songs and themes of dark skies, chilled seascapes, fire, and northern lights.

This is a Claim Your Seat event, which means students can get in for free when they show their University of Calgary I.D. card at the door.
