Based on the Myths of Ovid
Written and originally directed by Mary Zimmerman

Set in and around a large pool of water, Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses is an alluring and magical piece of theatre that retells several of the myths from Ovid’s seminal poem.  It is a play about renewal and perception a stunning testament to how we, as a society, have come to ignore our mythic side despite the fact that humanity has changed very little since the beginning of time.  Metamorphoses juxtaposes the ancient with the contemporary in both language and image.
