Faculty Update: April 2018

Wondering what our faculty and sessional members are up to? Here's a brief snapshot of some of the activities.


Laura Hynes performed as the soprano soloist in Handel’s "Alexander’s Feast" with Spiritus Chamber Choir and the Rosa Barocca Ensemble.

Christine Brubaker directed a three day script workshop in early March of Hannah Rittner’s new play, The Life and Death of Ana Petrovna. Hannah Rittner flew in from Toronto to write and work with Christine. The workshop featured local actors, Jamie Konchak (BFA' 03) as Sarah Bernhardt, and Arielle Rombaugh as Ana Petrovna. Hannah and Christine will follow-up with another second development workshop this upcoming July in Toronto.

Drama sessional Mike Czuba's Theatre for Young Audience's play Boy Sees Flying Saucer (based on the true and original story by Brian Dorscht) had its world premiere last month at The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey. Next month, his collective, Dancing Monkey Laboratories, will present KARL NIMENI IS NOT DEAD – I KILLED KARL NIMENI as part of Theatre Junction's NEXT STAGE.

Music sessional William Van Der Sloot will be presenting a violin masterclass at Oberlin College and Conservatory on April 4.
