Dr. Petra Dolata named as co-investigator on Department of Environment and Climate Change grant

Assessing Sustainable, Equitable, and Rapidly Deployable Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Technologies

Congratulations to Dr. Petra Dolata, a co-investigator on the just-announced Department of Environment and Climate Change grant "Assessing Sustainable, Equitable, and Rapidly Deployable Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Technologies.” This $4.2 million grant funds a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional project on Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) as part of Canada’s 2050 net zero goal. Dolata, who is a member of the steering committee, is leading two of the project’s fifteen activities: a historical case study on the social implications of technological shift and energy transitions in Canada ($ 84,000) and a CDR primer for Canada ($30,000), which will result in a living document meant to be accessible to all and of interest to those who want to dig a little deeper
