A Monster Calls - Audition Notice

A play based on the award winning novel by Patrick Ness. A Monster Calls centers around the story of Conor O'Maley, a 13 year old boy dealing with his mother's terminal illness. Every night since his mother's diagnosis, he's been having the most vivid nightmares. One night, a monster made of their old oak tree visits him and demands that he tell the truth. 
This imaginative and deeply moving adaptation is part of Alchemy Festival 2023 and will run from March 23-25 with rehearsals beginning mid-February. 

We are looking to fill 11 roles for actors and performers of all kinds of backgrounds and ethnicities. 
To audition, prepare a 1 to 2 minute movement piece and and 1 to 2 minute contemporary monologue. Be sure to save your slot by signing up online 

Auditions will be on December 8th, 2022 at Craigie Hall E004 from 9:30am to 5:00pm. Those who will be called back have to attend a final round of auditions on December 10th, 2022.
