UCalgary campus Wi‑Fi upgrades

IT Services is upgrading the campus Wi‑Fi network, with installation starting the week of June 15 in several Arts locations and continuing across campus throughout the summer.

Schedule (Week of June 16) 

Upgrades will take place 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on the following dates: 

• Tuesday, June 16 
• Arts Building & Arts Parkade 
• Education Tower (EDT) 
• Wednesday, June 17 
• Education Classroom Block (EDC) 
• Thursday, June 18 
• Craigie Hall Blocks (CHC, CHD, CHE, CHF, CHG) 

What to Expect 

During this transition, two Wi‑Fi networks will operate across campus: 

• New network: UC-Secure 
• Existing network: airuc-secure 

Some Arts areas will move to UC-Secure next week and many campus locations will continue to use airuc-secure for several months. 

Do not “forget” the airuc-secure network until the transition is complete. You will need to switch between both networks if and when you move between buildings. 

What You Need To Do 

• Connect to UC-Secure where and when available. 
• Keep airuc-secure saved on your device. 
• Be prepared to switch networks depending on your location.
