Le Centre (Craigie Hall C 301) is a friendly drop-in lounge for those wishing to speak French. Its relaxed ambiance also offers a resource centre that includes magazines, newspapers, dictionaries, books, cassettes, CDs, and games.
The Centre is usually open from the second week of September until the last week of April. A team of francophone monitors is responsible for greeting visitors and making them feel at home. Students and visitors can chat with the monitors as well as ask for help with their grammar. Visitors to the Centre will be pleasantly surprised to taste French desserts, drink a café au lait, participate in conversations between professors and students. These are a few of the many activities organized at the French Centre during the academic year.
Grade 12 French teachers are encouraged to visit our drop-in centre with their students. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance by calling 403 220 7226.
