El Centro de Tertulia (The Spanish Language Centre)
The Centre has been in existence for more than 25 years and its mandate is to support students and instructors of Spanish by providing a locale suitable for the practice of the Spanish language and exposure to Hispanic cultures. Students of all levels are expected to visit the Tertulia regularly to enhance their learning experience.
*El Centro de Tertulia consultations, workshops and activities are currently available online.

Cervantes Institute - Aula Cervantes
The Aula Cervantes in Calgary is the only centre operating in Canada. It helps and supports Spanish students and teachers with many different linguistic materials and resources as well as offers the DELE exams (official internationally recognized Spanish proficiency exams).

DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language)
The DELE is the official, internationally recognized qualification certifying students' knowledge of Spanish as a foreign or second language. It is issued by the Director of the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. Examinations are held three times a year – in April, May and November– in more than 500 centres around the world, of which 17 are located in Canada.
