Empirical Microeconomics Workshop

The Department of Economics at the University of Calgary is hosting its first annual Empirical Microeconomics Workshop in Banff, Alberta. The conference will take place from September 20-21. A welcoming reception will be held on the evening of September 19th.

The aim of this year’s workshop is to bring researchers together to present and discuss state-of-the-art methods and applications in the field of structural microeconometrics, but the organizers also welcome submissions from any sub-field of empirical microeconomics. We invite submissions from established researchers as well as promising young scholars in the field. In addition to regular presentations, there will be a poster session for younger scholars. We also welcome individuals wishing to attend and discuss papers.

The workshop is being held at the Banff Centre in the heart of Banff National Park - Canada's first and oldest national park. Calgary, Banff and surrounding areas have been named a top destination to visit in 2014 by both the Guardian and the New York Times.
