Biography
Sydney Burton is currently a PhD Student in the Greek and Roman Studies Program at the University of Calgary. Their area's of interest lie in the intersection between religion, gender expression and performance, and power in the medieval Roman Empire with a particular focus on Constantinople. Sydney is currently a TA for both Religious Studies and Greek and Roman Studies and is also a Student Assistant with Library and Cultural Resources.
In her down time, Sydney coaches volleyball, brushes up on her teaching skills through SoTL projects, and is currently working towards a Certificate in Publishing from Ryerson University.
