In the Department of Geography, our research helps the planet. 

We work on making cities more sustainable, exploring the effects of climate change and integrating the human and the physical. Our researchers and students combine geography scholarship with art and entrepreneurship. Experiential learning is our strength. 

UCalgary Arts

is the home of critical and creative arts, humanities and social science scholarship at UCalgary.

Faculty of Arts researchers are award-winning artists, scholars, distinguished members and officers. Our scholarship encompasses a wide spectrum of disciplines and specializations. We work across and within the arts, humanities and social sciences. Arts is one of the key contributors to transdisciplinary scholarship at UCalgary, through projects and initiatives that engage scholars and communities across Alberta, Canada, and beyond.
