Samira Jaffer and Rick Calkins have retired Denis Gadbois

All good things come to an end. Samira Jaffer and Rick Calkins, two of our incredible staff, have officially retired.

Printmaking Technician Rick Calkings started his career in the fall of 1992. Colleagues describe him as friendly, kind, patient, helpful and a lover of dogs.

Administrative Coordinator Samira Jaffer started in the fall of 2003. She is courteous, kind, patient, empathetic, professional and her classy, personal style stood out.

It was an emotional goodbye during last week's department meeting. Both Samira and Rick have left a great impression on the Department of Art and their colleagues. They will be missed. Please join us in wishing them the very best for a happy retirement.
