You can join a club below and have a positive impact on the student body, as well as meet fellow students and join in social and relevant extra-curricular activities.

The Fine Arts Society (FAS)

The Fine Arts Society (FAS) is a newly registered club at UCalgary. Among the SU Clubs, FAS represents the Department of Art and Art History. The objective is to bring together emerging artists enrolled in the arts and students across all faculties. Upcoming events could include paint nights, logo competition and social gatherings. Ultimately, FAS is a bridge for building connections between artists and developing a community.

The Pentimento Collective

The Pentimento Collective is a student-run organization from the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Calgary. Through our annual exhibitions, PULL and PUSH, we dedicate ourselves to promoting and sharing students' visual artworks in different galleries and public spaces. The Pentimento Collective strives to build a community where artists can engage with fellow artists and the audience, while creating relevant experiences.
We are currently seeking members for our upcoming PUSH 2023 show. PUSH is an annual exhibition looking for members and volunteers to help with aspects of the show, such as design, curating, marketing and more!
We are beyond excited to share that PUSH 2023 will be featured in Contemporary Calgary this spring/summer! Join us for this incredible opportunity to gain experience, skills, and connections!

My name is Sophia Garcia, and I am your Art and Art History Department Representative for the Faculty of Arts Students’ Association (FASA) this semester! FASA is a student-run, student-led organization that serves and represents the interests of undergraduate students of the University of Calgary Faculty of Arts. One of my goals is to foster a community and promote engagement by supporting my fellow students, our student-led groups, and departmental initiatives.
