Artist statement

What cherished items seem to travel with you in all your moves, from home to home?

What objects in your possession were passed down from a loved one, that might be sitting on a shelf or in a box collecting dust?

As objects come in and out of our lives, how do we decide which ones stay or which ones go? Beyond the question of functionality, what items hold enough memories or perceived value, that keep them alive and moving down generations?

This scrapbook project is an example of how one might document and remember items. The aim of this activity is to serve as a form of life review, or reminiscence therapy aimed at best serving these items, its inheritor, and the memories of their past owners.
