Allan Gordon Bell, Director

The Centre for Research in the Fine Arts (CRFA) is dedicated to the cultivation of innovative projects of unusual creativity in the visual and performing arts - individual and collaborative, disciplinary and cross-disciplinary - and serves as a vehicle and a resource for new ideas, collaborations, and interdisciplinary efforts in research and creative activity in the Faculty of Arts.

In addition, the CRFA will build and nurture ties to the city of Calgary through collaboration with a wide variety of institutions, organizations, businesses, and patrons in the city; it will also promote the creative and performative work of the Faculty of Arts on local, national, and international levels. The Centre acts as a supporter of conferences, lectures, short-term residencies, fellowships, concerts, productions, recitals, exhibitions, and festivals.

The Centre is funded by the generous support of the Office of the Vice President (Research), the Faculty of Arts, and by the kindness of private donors. To find out more about becoming a Friend of the Centre please contact the Director.
