We're the home of languages and linguistics at UCalgary.

You can study Arabic, Chinese, French or German. Explore Italian, Japanese, Linguistics or Russian. Learn Spanish or some of the Indigenous languages of Alberta.

Our faculty research linguistic structure and cultural, literary, and cinematic traditions. And they apply linguistic insights into language teaching, learning, and translation.
