Biography
My experiential research engages with regenerative farming models in Southern Alberta, Canada. Under the supervision of Dr. Ben McKay, this collaborative work explores the dynamics of community-guided food networks that seek to nurture the land and relational fabric of society.
To date, I have carried out ethnographic research in Peru and Panama and have participated in agroecological initiatives in China, India, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Costa Rica, Belize, Tortola, Scotland, and the United States. I am a SSHRC Vanier Canada Graduate Scholar, P.E.O. International Endowed Scholar, Co-Convener of the Calgary Institute for the Humanities (CIH) Food Studies Interdisciplinary Research Group, and member of the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning Teaching Academy.
