Students applying to any Fall 2025 program that requires an honours thesis must submit an application to the department prior to applying for honours via their Student Centre.
The programs requiring an honours thesis are:
To be considered for these programs, a minimum of 3.5 GPA is required. Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements and specific program requirements.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure an eligible thesis supervisor willing to supervise the honours thesis and resources available to complete the thesis.
Submit the application form, complete with signatures, by January 13th, 2025 to Rofina Bauer at anar@ucalgary.ca.
Students wishing to apply for Honours in other programs in the department (e.g. Development Studies, Socio-cultural anthropology) do not complete an honours thesis and do not need to submit this form.
