Dr. Alexander Hill presents paper on the Soviet war effort to 1943

Professor Alexander Hill presented a paper on the Soviet partisan movement and the Soviet war effort to November 1943 at the conference “From Kursk to Kiev: Turning the Tide in the War Against Nazi Germany, July-November 1943” (Nov. 13-14, 2023). Dr. Hill (3rd from the left) is pictured here along with Valerii Zamulin (South-Western State University, Kursk), Aleksei Isaev (Institute of Military History of the Russian General Staff), and Valerii Makovskii (also of the Institute of Military History).
