George Colpitts receives best article award from the Canadian Historical Review

Congratulations to George Colpitts, who was just awarded the Canadian Historical Review Best Article Prize for “Murder, Death, and Suicide at the Zoo: Revisiting Anthropomorphic Stories of Quebec’s Captive Polar Bears, 1936-88”, which appeared in its Vol 104, no 1, March 2023 issue. This prize is given annually to "the article which best demonstrates the finest qualities of advanced historical scholarship: an original and compelling argument that engages with and contributes to the historiography; deep research and analysis usually engaging primary sources; and well-crafted writing.” (CHR Webpage).  Congratulations, George!
