UCalgary History presentations at the Western Canadian History Conference
Postdoctoral and Graduate students presented their research at a conference hosted by the University of Saskatchewan
The University of Saskatchewan hosted “Migrations & Gatherings in the West” to discuss recent research in Western Canadian History and to celebrate Dr. Sarah Carter’s career and contributions to the field.
Dr. Mack Penner, postdoctoral fellow with the CanCO2R3 project, presented on his doctoral research on The Calgary School and graduate students SooBean Kim, Areej Syed Naqvi, and Tristan Paron presented papers from their MA research.
Delegates gathered at a banquet to celebrate the distinguished career of Dr. Sarah Carter, who was a professor in the department for fourteen years. Dr. Nancy Janovicek participated in program to thank Sarah for her mentorship and pathbreaking research in Western Canadian history.
