Biography
Sunbeam Rahman is a GIS professional with a strong academic and professional background in geography and environmental sciences. He is currently pursuing a Master of Geographic Information Systems (MGIS) degree at the University of Calgary. Sunbeam previously completed MSc and BSc degrees in Geography and Environment from the University of Dhaka. Professionally, he has held various key roles at international NGOs, government organizations, and private enterprises as a GIS Specialist. Sunbeam started his career with researchers in climate change and adaptation in Bangladesh, where he specialized in RS and GIS. Through these roles, Sunbeam has made significant contributions to various organizations and projects, demonstrating a deep commitment to leveraging GIS technology for environmental and hazard management.
