Scholarship opportunities

In addition to departmental funding, there are numerous opportunities for university and external scholarships and research support competitions. Thesis-based students are expected to apply for scholarship support from a variety of sources, including national agencies such as NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, Alberta Innovates, or other scholarships and bursaries listed with the Faculty of Graduate Studies. If a thesis-based student receives a major award or scholarship, their departmental support will be adjusted accordingly
