Chris Framarin is a professor of philosophy and religious studies. He has a Ph.D. in philosophy and an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction. Chris studied Philosophy for Children at the University of Hawai'i from 1999-2000. He has been the coordinator of the program since 2018. His specialization is K-5 philosophy.

Howdy! I am Jatinder Gill, an undergraduate co-op student, working as the Communications Coordinator for Philosophy for Everyone. As a second-year student of Philosophy, I am working with the P4E team to help mature the epistemic growth of young learners across the city. I hope to leverage the lessons I learn in this program into an eventual career in Law.

Reid Buchanan is an associate professor in the department of philosophy at the University of Calgary. He has a Ph.D. in philosophy from McMaster University. He has been facilitating Philosophy for Children sessions since 2020, with an emphasis on online (Zoom) sessions for home school and online learners.

Yosh Kobasigawa

Yosh Kobasigawa is an assistant professor in the department of philosophy at the University of Calgary. He has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Calgary. Yosh completed the Philosophy for Children workshop at the University of Hawai'i in 2019. He has been facilitating Philosophy for Children sessions since 2018.

Alyssa D’Ambrosio is a PhD student at the university of Calgary. She is the current Ethics Bowl Coordinator and has been a member of Philosophy for everyone since 2025. She is currently working on her thesis that addresses issues with children and their relationship with social media.

Koray Akçagüner_headshot

Koray Akçagüner is a PhD candidate in philosophy and works in the philosophy of mathematics and logic. He is passionate about teaching and public philosophy and has volunteered as a Philosophy for Children (P4C) facilitator in Turkey. Since 2025, he has been active in P4C programs in Canada, visiting K-12 schools in Calgary and running philosophy summer camps.
