Biography

As an academic deeply engaged in the exploration of philosophy, my work primarily investigates and challenges the intricate landscapes of political philosophy, social philosophy, ethics, and applied ethics. I have nurtured a strong foundation in these areas through my doctoral studies at the University of Calgary, where my dissertation, "Liberalism and Pluralism: Assessing the Affinity," was supervised by Allen Habib.

Beyond research, I am devoted to teaching, a space where I translate theory into impactful learning experiences for my students. I have numerous teaching experiences, including courses on topics such as bioethics, moral issues in contemporary society, and the intricate weave of sex, love, and death in philosophical discourse. I've had the honor to be an educator at both the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University with a range of subjects that include business ethics, feminist philosophy, and the historical contemplations of medieval philosophy.

My commitment to education is mirrored in my dedication to professional service, such as when I served as Vice Chair of Ploughshares Calgary, a role I held from 2018 to 2022. I believe in actively participating in academic communities through various roles, whether as a conference volunteer, session chair, or as a commentator critiquing scholarly works during symposiums and associations.
