Gender and Politics Lab

The Gender and Politics Lab brings together faculty and graduate students in Political Science to study how gender shapes political behaviour, representation in  political institutions, and outcomes across a wide array of political arenas. We understand gender in its broadest sense, to include women, men, and gender-diverse individuals, seeking also to learn how gender intersects with race, Indigeneity, class, and other structures of power. Through collaborative projects, training, and mentoring, the lab fosters a supportive and innovative environment for advancing knowledge on politics and gender both within and beyond academia.
