Our Canadian Politics subfield focuses on Canadian political institutions, public policy, and political behaviour at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels, as well as the relationships between Indigenous peoples and the Canadian state. Current areas of departmental research in this subfield include Canadian political leadership, Indigenous politics in Canada, gender and politics, Canadian political parties, the operation of the Canadian federal executive and legislature, provincial and municipal elections, Canadian federalism and multilevel governance, and Canadian Foreign and Defence Policy.
