Conference Proposals

The 2021 NASA Region 9 Conference welcomes proposals for performances, lectures and panel discussions. Proposals will be reviewed by Feb. 15.

Please have in mind that we will prioritize proposals that feature diverse (women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+) composers/performers. NASA Region 9 is committed to aligning the intentions of its members with programming at this conference. Additionally, we will also prioritize proposals that are in dialogue with current issues involving the effects of the ongoing pandemic. Topics could include but are not limited to recording at/in a home studio, using social media, teaching over Zoom, and so on.

Due to the digital nature of this conference, accepted proposals will have the option to be live or prerecorded. If you choose prerecorded, the programming committee asks that you create new materials specifically for this conference.

As a non-profit organization that puts its revenues back to work for its membership, we rely on NASA members to help make the conference a great experience for everyone who attends. We are grateful for the many presenters over the years who have donated their time and talent as a way of giving back to the saxophone community.
