LAWS of ATTRACTION

Love and desire
Hope and despair
... and the irrefutable forces that MOVE US

SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE

Set in 16th-century London, upstart playwright William Shakespeare battles with writer's block and discovers unexpected inspiration in the irrepressible pull of a forbidden romance. This award-winning play is a love-letter to the theater and a refreshing and hilarious portrayal of Shakespeare's life and art.
Written by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard – Directed by MFA Candidate Steven Conde
NOVEMBER 29-DECEMBER 2 • REEVE THEATRE • $22/$17

LIGHTS OUT

What does it take to move in a world beset by paralysis? What might a movement look, sound and feel like if, against all odds, it flexes its muscles and finds its voice? With the planet on fire, in a vacuum of corporate responsibility and political will, Lights Out is an embodied search for answers to these questions—a defiant celebration of collective movement and sound in the face of an uncertain future.
Created by the Ensemble – Conceived and Directed by Bruce Barton in collaboration with Beth Kates, Christopher Sies, Heather Ware, Jean-Louis Bleau and Laura Hynes
FEBRUARY 9-17 • REEVE THEATRE • $22/$17

MAGNETIC BODIES

Imagine a body producing a magnetic field - invisible and powerful. How can we, as magnetic beings co-exist in a polarized society? Attraction, repulsion and their sphere of influence will be explored in this dynamic series of new works by UCalgary Drama students in collaboration with Downstage Theatre.
Co-Production with Downstage Theatre
