The Associate Deans (Research) provide strategic leadership to elevate the Faculty of Arts' national and international reputation, funding, and impact in research and creation.  

Leadership activities include developing community connections (both internal and external); transdisciplinary initiatives; research support for various career stages; and an emphasis on SSHRC and NFRF grant development.

  • Primary responsibility for SSHRC and NFRF
  • Facilitating applications, including peer review and support programs with the senior research advisor
  • Developing strategy for faculty research grants and awards with the senior research advisor
  • Support of postdoctoral fellows and mentorship of early career researchers in the Faculty of Arts
  • Developing support for transdisciplinary research in the Faculty of Arts
