The Associate Deans (Research) provide strategic leadership to elevate the Faculty of Arts' national and international reputation, funding, and impact in research and creation.  

Leadership activities include infrastructure supports for research; CRC renewals; strategic research initiatives; and an emphasis on NSERC, CIHR, CRC and CFI.

  • Primary responsibility for NSERC, CIHR, CRC, and CFI
  • Facilitating and reviewing external applications and developing strategy for Faculty research grants and fellowships with the senior research advisor, including leading research and faculty development workshops
  • Faculty coordinator for Program for Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE)
  • Faculty lead for the development of research-related space and infrastructure
