Best Student Paper

Soohyun Ahn, a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy, won the best student paper prize for 2021 from the Canadian Philosophical Association for her paper titled 'A Contextual Analysis of Values in Theory Appraisal'. 

Soohyun's research focuses on how social and moral values affect scientific research.  She is developing a framework for determining when the effect of such values on science is appropriate.
