She is currently the chair of the Royal College Examination Board for Adult Cardiology and a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Specialty Committee in Cardiology, as well as the RCPS Residency Accreditation Committee.

Dr. Welikovitch is the recipient of several teaching awards including the Queen’s University Aesculapian Society Education Award for contributions to the undergraduate curriculum, and the PARA Trust Fund Travel Award for Clinical Education.
