Anthony Jordan Tinoco Landero

Anthony Jordan Tinoco Landero, of Calgary, Alta., passed away suddenly on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at the age of 32 years.

Anthony was born in Calgary on May 16, 1991, as a first-generation Canadian, to Nicaraguan parents, and proudly claimed his family’s heritage.

A passionate historian, Anthony was inspired by his Nicaraguan roots, and was actively pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies at the University of Calgary. As an eternal dreamer, he wanted to make this world a better place.

Anthony loved his family in its entirety, and will be most remembered for his humour, his affection, and his easy-going spirit. Those who shared in his company will have witnessed him in all his glory, he was an all-inclusive experience, and he loved those too!

Anthony’s most memorable vacations were shared with close family and friends, he had a true love for travel. Christmas was wrapped in the presence of the traditional customs and an enormous Nicaraguan family.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Jesus and Martha, siblings Jesus III and Martha (Alejandro), and his beloved nephews Abel and Camila; as well as his Papito Chuma and Mamita Santos, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Anthony will live on in our hearts. “We’ll always be with you. No one’s ever really gone. A thousand generations live in you now.”
