Dr. Byron Miller

Dr. Byron Miller’s research focuses on the social and political processes that shape cities and their relationship to the creation of a just society. Questions of segregation, exclusion from public space, accessibility to primary public transit, provision of affordable housing, voice in political decision-making, and economic inequality are all themes that arise in his research. Recent publications he has co-authored include a 2018 report for the national Neighbourhood Change Research Partnership on “Socio-Spatial Polarization in an Age of Income Inequality: An Exploration of Neighbourhood Change in Calgary’s Three Cities.”
