Dr. Dawn Johnston

Dr. Dawn Johnston’s research and teaching occur at the intersection of queer theory, feminist theory, activism and popular culture, with a particular interest in representations of queer identities in television and film. She has published and presented on teaching queer theory, on activist uses of mainstream media, on constructions and representations of queer space in Canadian cities, and on feminist and queer critical media consumption.
